Here is a quick sketch of what could be done to make this promotion a more customer-centric approach, which, of course, will yield more full-pay customers.

Homeschool Plus Program – Ready to Augment Your Child’s Education?
Getting the most out of a full-time homeschool experience can be difficult. Trying to wear the parent hat and the teacher hat and preparing for both roles, can take an extensive amount of time and training. You want and deserve the right educational experience for your child. Such elements as:
- Positive peer interactions
- Time to explore interests
- Individual attention and preparation
- Breadth and depth of programs
We agree with you and want to partner with you to support your child’s homeschool experience. We can offer a dynamic, flexible program with a high level of individual attention and a good peer cohort. We call this experience – the “Homeschool Plus Program.”
By joining our part-time studies program for homeschooled students, you will be able supplement or augment the education experience for your child, as you see fit, and can take advantage of the unique opportunities that we offer from over 100 years of experience in education. Talented teachers and great facilities help to provide the best education.
Are you seeking group activities for your child? In the Homeschool Plus Program students may participate in certain sports and performing arts groups, representing the Blue Hope Academy throughout the year.
Students in grades 7-12 may enroll in as many courses as the schedule allows. Please email Paul Anderson (panderson@bluehopeAcad.org) for more information and to receive a Part-Time Student Application.
Here is how the Five Pillars paradigm is being used.
- The first pillar of the Five Pillars paradigm is to understand the problem to be solved for the customer. This example demonstrates an understanding of the educational challenges parents of homeschooled children are experiencing.
- By speaking the language of the homeschool customer, the school is suggesting a level of expertise needed to work with homeschool students which leads to the second of the Five Pillars process- demonstrating an expertise. (Of course, more demonstration is needed.)
- Offering the right solution to solve a problem – the third of the Five Pillars paradigm is the “Homeschool Plus Program.” You connect what you offer with the problem of the customer to be solved. Furthermore, if your programs and the way you do them are outstanding, they need to be branded with a name, so as not to be equated with imitations that are not as good.
- A name implies something more intentional which opens the door to the fourth of the Five Pillars – demonstrating that it is worth the cost. (Of course, more demonstration is needed here also.)
- If you are the first to do this, people are likely to refer to your name, in this case the “Homeschool Plus Program” when describing this type of program. This leads to the fifth pillar, building disciples. It is hard to build disciples without a name to your program to begin the branding. Assuming that the delivery of the program is excellent, people will talk about it and start building your following.
How did you do? How would you rate your marketing efforts and materials – school-centric or customer-centric? To learn more and to strengthen your skills in this area, attend the Five Pillars workshop on December 10 and 11 in New York City.
